1992 Eagle Talon Project

1992 Eagle Talon-133k mi., eng. needs rebuilt/replaced, new brakes(only 1wk.old), new tires(only 3kmi.) other than eng., car in great shape, BO or $1000.

I went to look at the car on February 22 and brought it home on a tow dolley the same day. Paid $700.00. The owner took it to two shops and they both told her it had thrown a rod. I removed the oil pan and found chunks of piston and parts of a roller bearing. After I removed the valve cover I found that one rocker arm roller was destroyed as well as the piston and probably the valve for the piston.

Valve cover removed, you can see the rocker arm that had the damaged roller. It is canted slightly to the right.

When the damage took place, the engine stopped very quickly and damaged this recently installed timing belt.

Here is the "new" head. It came from Eastside salvage with a 90 warranty. It came from a 1991 Eclips/Talon.
